Terms & Conditions

By placing an order with The Bed Centre you shall be deemed to have accepted this legal notice in full. If you do not accept this legal notice in full. The following terms and conditions (“the Conditions”) apply to all transactions processed by us.  All orders made are subject to the acceptance of these Conditions, and deemed to be accepted by you when placing your order. These Conditions do not affect your statutory rights. These terms and conditions are subject to change without notice and supersede all previous editions.

We will treat each order for goods as an offer by you to purchase the goods subject to these Conditions.

We accept all major credit/ debit cards, cheques, wire transfer & BACS payments. In addition, we accept official purchase orders from Local Authorities, Government, Education, Financial, Healthcare, & other official corporate bodies at our sole discretion.

All cheques, BACS, and wire payments must be cleared before any goods can be dispatched (please allow up to 7 working days for clearance). No goods will be dispatched until we are in receipt of the original order. For BACS payment details please contact our customer services department.

Ownership of the goods shall not pass to you until we have received payment in full (cleared funds).

Your order for goods is subject to stock availability. If we do not supply goods to you for any reason we will inform you of the situation and will not charge you for those goods, and will refund any money already paid by you for these goods. We are not liable for any financial loss incurred by you relating to interest payments, or loss of earnings, or similar gains you would have received on monies paid to us in lieu of any unfulfilled order

2) Returns

Please carefully consider your decision to place an order once the following points have been read.

If you wish to return item(s) we must be notified in writing.

Please ensure returns are clearly labelled with your name, postal address and full order number.

Made to order item(s): We regret made to order item(s) cannot be cancelled and are non-refundable once the order has been accepted by us

Mattresses & Bedding: If there is a problem with your order your complaint must be received within 24 hours after delivery took place.

Beddings and mattresses will be deemed as used item(s) after the delivery is made, for reasons of hygiene, health and safety we cannot refund or exchange duvets, pillows, mattresses or mattress toppers once the packaging has been opened.

Furniture: Once an attempt at assembly has been started, we are unable to accept returns as the item(s) is deemed to have been used.

We cannot organise the recovery of unwanted item(s) on your behalf. You need to arrange the return of the item(s) to us at your expense.

We cannot be held responsible for non-delivery of returned item(s). We highly recommend that you obtain proof of posting since we will be unable to refund item(s) that have not been signed for at our premises. When returning an item(s) it is your responsibility to ensure the item(s) is packaged properly and carefully so that no damage is caused to the item(s). Failure to do so may result in your return being refused and/or any refund due being reduced. If you are returning item(s) due to error or change of mind then they must be returned in perfect re-saleable condition or exchanges will not be accepted.

Once the item(s) are received by us in perfect re-saleable condition we will authorize a refund. We will issue your refund minus our original shipping costs.  Any free gifts/services are non-returnable and will become chargeable should you decide to return your original purchase. The value amount of the gift/service will be deducted from your refund.

3) Cancellations

Intention to cancel must be notified to us in writing.

In the event that you wish to cancel your order and the item(s) have already been dispatched at the date of receipt of your cancellation of the order you must refuse the item(s) if an attempt at delivery is made.

Once the item(s) arrive back at our warehouse we will authorize a refund. We will issue your refund minus our original shipping costs to you for that item(s).

If you do not return the item(s) or fail to make them available for collection within 30 days of your notice of cancellation, you will be deemed to have accepted the item(s) and a refund will not be authorized.

We regret made to measure item(s) and European sized bedframe and mattresses which are made to order cannot be cancelled and are non-refundable once the order has been accepted by us.

4) Damages & Missing Parts

When you receive your parcel(s) please thoroughly check for any damage which may have been caused in transit at point of delivery.

The Product manufacturer has the right to repair or exchange a defective item as appropriate (Zip, Covers, bedframes, drawers, legs, nuts and bolts etc).

If your parcel(s) has incurred damage, then please refuse delivery of the parcel(s) stating the reason for refusal and we will ship out a replacement immediately.

Reporting damage after you have signed acceptance renders us unable to replace the damaged parcel(s) free of charge. Signing damaged automatically indemnifies and insures your goods with the courier against any damages that you may later discover.


All new goods are sold with the benefit of a minimum 12-month manufacturer’s guarantee.

If goods are deemed tampered with in any way your guarantee will become void and you will be responsible for the costs of replacement and all shipping fees.  Wherever possible we will respond to your individual complaints as quickly as possible.  We will not be liable for any transit damage that may occur on any product you have returned to us for replacement. We strongly suggest that you make sure you have used sufficient packaging to protect your product and insure against damage before returning any product for replacement. For advice on how to pack your goods safely before return please contact our customer service team.

The guarantee does not cover, accidental damage, modifications to, failure(s) not due to manufacturing defect(s), failure to comply with the original manufacturers’ conditions of intended use, any accessories supplied. We cannot be held responsible for any costs arising from unauthorized repairs to equipment during the guarantee period. Only the product manufacturer or their authorized service agents can carry out any guarantee work. Any unauthorized repairs or repair attempts will void the guarantee.

6) Miscellaneous Delivery Information

We will do our best to get all orders despatched as quickly as possible.

We make every effort to deliver goods within the estimated time-scales (except for weekends & public holidays), however delays are occasionally inevitable due to unforeseen factors and all goods and products are subject to availability.

If you are purchasing to replace your existing furniture we also recommend that you do not dispose of your existing furniture until your new goods have arrived and have been checked for damage.

We have no liability to you financially or otherwise for any delay in the delivery of products ordered.  We shall not be liable for incidental or consequential damages or expenses. This includes, but is not limited to, damage to property, lost income, profits, economic or commercial losses and third parties’ claims.
